Daisy Irene Harvey Laidig, 84, passed away peacefully at home in Hudson, Wisconsin early Saturday morning, February 21, 2009 surrounded by her family. Born in Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania on July 17, 1924, she was the ninth of twelve surviving children of Ralph and Frances Dohl Harvey. On January 1, 1944 she married the Reverend Robert V. Laidig, Pastor of the Harveyville, PA Methodist Church and, prior to retirement, Pastor of Lakeland United Methodist Church, Afton, Minnesota who predeceased her on October 1, 1991. Daisy is survived by three sisters: Fannie Kocher and Mildred Rittenhouse, of Sweet Valley, PA, and Phoebe Keller of Benton, PA; five children: Lee (Terry), of Stillwater, MN, Mark of New York, NY, Frances Betinis, of Milaca, MN, Gary, of Woodbury, MN and Paul (Helen), of Hudson, WI; six grandchildren: Sara Sofie (Jack), Hudson, WI, Sean Laidig, Okinawa, Japan, Meghan Johnson (Kroy), Neenah, WI, Emmanuel Betinis, Bloomington, MN, and Matthew and Adam Mazzara, Stillwater, MN and five great-grandchildren: Evan and Isabella Sofie, Cierra, Kaiya, and Gavin johnson.
